Hi guys this is nothing to do with modeling but our council gave the information centre a makeover and is done as the gatehouse from the Hobbit movie. In the lord of the rings the hobbit holes were made and filmed just out of town and they have filmed the new Hobbit movie there again. Was opened around 5pm last night. Took this pic after I dropped off my son at school.Ken..

The building under it was roughly the right shape so they just built all what you see over it. They have been doing tours out to the set since lord of the rings finished shooting from here anyway so doing this was all in keeping with the town and it's image. Most of the shop windows in town have been painted to look like Hobbit holes too.They had the part of town near here blocked off for the opening and the party went on most of the night, we could hear the music and we are a couple of k's away.Ken..
